 Required equipment for field activities. Common name: Beige Box.

 TAM authorizes the following field kit as general issue. The kit is
 easily assembled by the phreak following the simple directions:

 
 SUPPLIES NEEDED:
 - Radio Shack Apollo one-piece telephone (Part No. 43-868 Black)
 - Modular 2-line phone cord (at least 12 ft. in length)
  [note: TAM uses a 12 ft. phone cord that only has the modular jack
         on one end, these are avail. at Radio Shack for around $4.]
 - Alligator clips
 - Soldering iron & solder

 INSTRUCTIONS:
 After you have purchased the phone stuff, you are basically done. You
 will keep the supplied curly-cue cord intact, for instances where a
 jack is accessable. You will need to modify the other phone cord by
 removing one of the modular jacks and stripping the end of the wire.
 You will have exposed a red wire and a green wire by doing this. Leave
 yourself plenty of room. Solder an alligator clip on to the red wire 
 and another onto the green wire. [Radio Shack #270-378A alligator clip
 comes with a couple reds and greens, for those who wish to be color
 coordinated].

 Save the box that the phone came in, remove the packing material and
 instruction booklet, and both wires and the phone will convieniently
 fit inside, for storage.
